W.Babylon “readers” make presentation to BOE
A "celebration" took place during the West Babylon Board of Education meeting on February 26, when some of Linda Penn's second-grade reading students at JFK Elementary School offered a highly impressive presentation. They applied creative English language arts activities as part of their Readers' Theater unit.
Shown, left to right, front row are students Tyler Stump, Daniel Thompson, James Boos, Vincent Mangiapane, Anthony Hennessey, Victoria Formes and Emily Happich, and in the back row, second-grade teacher Colleen Steffens, JFK Principal Gregg Cunningham, Superintendent of Schools Melvin Noble, Board of Education President Carmine Galletta and JFK reading specialist Linda Penn.
