NB's Parliament Place School awarded grant

Parliament Place Elementary School in the North Babylon School District has been selected as a recipient of a 2006-2007 Lowe's Toolbox for Education grant in the amount of $5,000. This grant is reserved for approved school improvements that can be completed within one year of the grant receipt.

The grant was awarded based on the school's submission for a proposed "Garden of the Arts." Parliament Place plans to create a garden where children can stretch out to draw, write, design and work peacefully on projects.

Lowe's Toolbox for Education grant program is funded by the Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation, which has supported thousands of grassroots community and school projects in the communities where Lowe's does business.
