Like high school seniors across Long Island, the "seniors" at the Gurwin Jewish Geriatric Center in Commack celebrated their own "senior" prom complete with DJ, favors, flowers and escorts from the Community Service Action Club at Deer Park High School. The annual event was celebrated by nearly 100 attendees.
A resident prom court, complete with king and queen, were crowned at the prom, along with a student prom king and queen.
The highlight of the evening was the opportunity for the students and residents to get to know each other over ice cream sundaes at the conclusion of the evening.
