Suffolk County hosts Fire Chiefs seminar

The Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services and the Suffolk County Fire Academy recently held an orientation program for new Suffolk County Fire Chiefs. About 50 chiefs from throughout the county attended the seminar, which introduced them to the agencies, officials and support available to them. The seminar covered incident command, communications, training, mutual aid, EMS, hazardous materials, Suffolk County Burn Center operations, Suffolk Police aviation unit, fire marshals and fire coordinators. The Suffolk Fire-Rescue Mobile Command unit, pictured, was also demonstrated to the chiefs.
