      Joseph W. Chasas, a World War II veteran who was born in Babylon, died in North Carolina February 24, 2007. A memorial service for him will be held June 8, at St. Joseph's, R.C. Church, Babylon, at 9:45 a.m. A reception will follow at Hibernian Hall, Locust Ave., Babylon.

Carol Brown, longtime Macy's employee
      Carol Brown, a longtime resident of Carle Place and the mother of Dr. Jonathan and Mrs. Sue Wigderson of Indiana, formerly of Lindenhurst, died Tuesday, May 29 following a brief illness. She was 64-years-old. Her son and daughter-in-law are former Brunswick Hospital Center employees.
