Beach Volleyball Leagues at Cedar Beach, Babylon

The Miller Lite Beach Volleyball Leagues at Cedar Beach in Babylon are still accepting players and teams for leagues on Monday through Thursday nights. The leagues are held on the beach in front of the Beach Hut, which has live entertainment along with nightly food and drink specials making it the best place to play on Long Island.

The leagues will have divisions for doubles, triples, coed six-player teams and four-player teams. There will also be a Junior Davison for boys and girls eight to 18 years old. Leagues will be held as follows:

+Monday: Competitive and recreational level coed sixes

+Tuesday: Coed triples, any gender fours, Competitive and recreational level coed sixes

+Wednesday: Male & female doubles, AA, A & B levels

+Thursday: Competitive and recreational level coed sixes

+There will be divisions for players of all levels. Novice and intermediate players will compete in two sepa- rate six-player divisions; while more experienced players will compete in the four-player divisions. Teams will play three to six games each night leading up to the Miller Lite Long Island Championships September 15 at the Beach Hut, Cedar Beach in Babylon.

Single players can be placed on teams. New teams should go to www.eevb.net/leagues.htm for registration info. Additional leagues are also held in Long Beach and Hampton Bays.

The league will be co-sponsored by Caribbean Tourism Organization, Venus Swimwear, Iron Horse Bikes, Atlantic City Convention & Visitor's Authority, VolleyChick, Vincere Sand Socks, Spike Volleyball.com, Sweet Tomatoes, Rider Sandals, Park & Sun net systems, Dig Magazine, Six Flags Great Adventure/Hurricane Harbor, Volleyball Magazine, Sportime and Beach Volleyball Magazine.
