Healthy, happy hearts at Deer Park

Pre-kindergartners at the Abraham Lincoln School in Deer Park recently participated in a "heart workshop" as part of their study of the functions of the heart. Parents and children worked together to create a heart project and complete a workbook. The children learned about feelings and emotions, the importance of good nutrition to maintain a healthy heart, and the biology of the heart.
