Lindenhurst Albany Avenue “Goes Wild for Books”

Shown, left to right, are Mrs. Berrent, Melissa DiPietrantonio, Bryan Berrent and Alyssa Berrent listen to a special story as they "Go Wild for Books."
Lindenhurst's Albany Avenue Elementary School's theme for PARP (Parents as Reading Partners) was Go Wild for Books. Parents visited classrooms and enjoyed animal stories read by the teachers. As a follow-up, parents completed an activity or played a game.

PARP is a collaborative effort among parents, teachers and the community to build a reading partnership between the home and school.
