American Legion Post 1218 to host garage sale May 19 Hunter Squires Jackson American Legion will be holding a community garage sale, Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Post, 133 Dixon Ave., Amityville in the corner parking lot. The sale is open to the public and vendors. There is a fee required to sell of $25. For information, contact Johnnie Mae Martin at 631-842-9214. This fundraiser benefits the auxiliary.
From 4 to 8 p.m. there will be a barbecue dinner as a fundraiser for the Post. Barbecue chicken will cost $7, rib diner cost $10 and chicken sandwich will be $4. For information contact Alfred Jackson at 631- 842-3360.
