Girl Scouts reach for silver

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest recognition a Cadette Girl Scout can earn. This program challenges Cadette Girl Scouts to excel in leadership, community service and self-development. Suffolk County Legislator Wayne R. Horsley presented achievement certificates and offered congratulations to four outstanding young women who are members of Girl Scout Troop #2440 in Babylon.

Shown at the Silver Award ceremony are: Leg. Wayne Horsley, Karen Calabrese, Kate Calabrese, Troop Leader Lisa McKeown, Katherine Cody, Shannon McKeown and Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino.
