 | | West Babylon's Forest Avenue Elementary School recently announced their authors and artists of the month for December. Based on the themes of holidays, rhymes, poems and honesty students wrote and illustrated their interpretations of the theme. Third grade student Ryan Winter and kindergarten student Ashley Schattner were selected as artists of the month and fifth grade student Katelyn Casey and first grade student Miranda Billeri were chosen as authors of the month. Each student received a trophy acknowledging their achievements. |

 | | At Babylon Memorial Grade School, the fifth and six grade Student Council used money raised during a recent fundraiser to fill springtime holiday gift bags. Filling them with $300 worth of Toys R' Us gift certificates and toys, the Council members donated candy and other goodies for each child's gift. Twelve Babylon Village children currently in need will receive the holiday delivers. Shown with the children is teacher and advisor Rita Bartenback, left. |
