Sagtikos Manor Historical Society volunteers needed

The Sagtikos Manor Historical Society is holding training sessions for new adult docents on Thursday, May 3, 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 5, 10 a.m. at the Manor which is located on the north side of Montauk Highway in West Bay Shore approximately one half mile east of the Robert Moses Causeway.

The Manor is open for tours from 1 to 4 p.m. on Memorial Day, Sundays in June, July and August and Wednesdays and Thursdays in July and August. Docents are asked to join one of the four teams that al- ternate conducting the tours. The story of the building itself and families that occupied it is a fascinating part of Long Island history and you will find that the more you learn about it, the more you will want to learn.

If you think you might like to participate, come to one of the training sessions or call Norma at 631-661- 5169 or email Nmeder29@aol.com for more information.
