Long Term Insurance meeting to be held May 24 On a daily occurrence we read or hear something about Long Term Care Insurance. Why is it so publicized, what is its' importance? In the past, we did very little planning for long term care needs because family members were usually available to provide care. Changes in society and the family make this arrangement almost virtually impossible today. Smaller families, family members moving to other locations, both heads of households working and longer life expectancy mean family members are not available as caregivers. Long Term Care Insurance can cover the services needed in a nursing home, at home, in an assisted living facility or in other community based settings. Dominican Village invites you to join in Thursday May 24th, 8:15 a.m. in the Helen Butler O.P. Hall of Dominican Village, 565 Albany Ave., Amityville, for continental breakfast and a presentation by Sheila Corrigan, Program Liaison for the Nassau Department of Senior Affairs on Long Term Care Insurance.
Please contact Elaine Thompson to RSVP at 631 842-6618 by May 11.
