Police seek clues in shooting deaths

Home at 69 Foster Blvd., Babylon, where two people were found shot to death.
Police are investigating the mysterious shooting death of 27-year-old woman, Erika Delia, and her boyfriend at the boyfriend's home at 69 Foster Blvd., Babylon. Police say, that Delia, who had an order of protection against the boyfriend, David Balsamo, apparently went to his home Friday or Saturday. When she didn't return home, relatives became concerned. They went to Balsamo's apartment and found the bodies in Balsamo's bedroom. Police said they don't know if it was a homicide or suicide pact.

Delia, who was studying for a master's degree at C.W. Post, Long Island University and was employed with Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology in Lindenhurst, had taken out the order of protection after Balsamo had threatened her following a break up, said police. He was ordered to stay away from her home, school and place of employment. Police said they have not determined what prompted Delia to go to Balsamo's apartment, nor what happened there. Their investigation is continuing.
