Performance May 10th
The Babylon Village Arts Council fosters growth and availability of the arts to Village residents and those in neighboring towns. The group supports musical, literary, visual and theatrical art forms that showcase the vibrant talents of artists and performers within our local communities.
At this time, the Babylon Village Arts Council will present another performance featuring The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn at the Second Thursday Concert Series to be held Thursday, May 10, 7:30 p.m. The performance will be at the Astoria Federal Savings Bank, 180 Main St., Babylon Village. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free and you do not have to reserve tickets. Seating is limited.
The program will feature The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn, a young band of musicians celebrating American music from 1910 to 1930. Saxophone, trumpet, stand up bass and guitar form the core of musicians. They call their music cabaret jazz and it has all the feel and energy of that period of American life.
