POLICE BLOTTER BURGLARY Wyandanch: Sometime between the afternoon of March 24, and the afternoon of March 31, someone broke into a vacant house on North 19th Street, and stole various items. +Gaining entry through a rear door, someone broke into a Washington Avenue house April 2 and stole several undisclosed items. The breakin was reported at noon. Deer Park: Two unidentified men, claiming to be delivery men, forced their way into an East First Street home at 1:30 p.m., March 30 and proceeded to steal several items. No one was hurt in the break-in. Copiague: A locked unit at Bi-County Storage on Sunrise Highway North was broken into sometime between March 24 and March 29. Police did not report what was stolen. +Sometime before 5:30 p.m. on March 31, someone broke into a Western Concourse home and stole several items. GRAND LARCENY East Farmingdale: On April 2, at about 7 a.m., the owners of an Allen Boulevard open facility reported the theft of several pieces of equipment. The theft took place between March 30 and the morning of April 2. +A number of tools were stolen over the March 30 to April 2 weekend from a Broadhollow Road business. The theft was discovered at 8 a.m., April 2. West Babylon: Two teens stole another boy's cell phone the afternoon of April 1. The incident took place on Wyandanch Avenue. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Babylon Village: A car parked on Fire Island Avenue was vandalized April 1 during the early morning hours. Deer Park: Someone vandalized a house at Nicolls Road sometime between 6 p.m., March 27 and 8 a.m., March 28. +On March 29 just around midnight someone made graffiti on a Taft Court house. West Babylon: A house on Van Buren Street was vandalized March 30 sometime before 11 p.m. +Someone made graffiti on a fence outside a Marcy Street home the morning of April 1. West Islip: On March 30 sometime before 5:30 a.m. someone vandalized a car parked on Keith Lane. ARRESTS DWI: The following persons have been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired: David J. King Jr., 135 Curcio Court, West Babylon; Ruben R. Lowe, 830 Howard Ave., Copiague; Diana Kwasny-Owens, 214 Bergen Court, Copiague; Marianne Morgan, 28 Setauket Trail, Ridge; Jose A. Canalas, 104 Albany Ave., Amityville; Christopher Schaeffner, 228 Silver St., North Babylon; Carlos Rodriguez, 413 Washington Street, East Farmingdale; Burglary: Wayne M. Toney, 39 North 19th St., Wyandanch (eight counts); Calvin P. Evanson, 93 S 29th St., Wyandanch; David McKeithan, 1259 Little East Neck Rd., Wyandanch; Robbery: George J. Strahm, 324 North Indiana Ave., Lindenhurst; Grand Larceny: David J. Drago, 225 South High St., Lindenhurst.
The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
