Islip Town announces trip to United States Military Academy at West Point June 7

Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan announced that spaces are still available for a trip to the United States Military Academy at West Point, sponsored by the Town's Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs.

The trip takes place on Thursday, June 7, when Parks and Recreation will travel, via deluxe motorcoach, to the historic military academy overlooking the Hudson River. The fee for this trip is $80 for residents and $84 for non-residents. The guided tour will be making stops at the Main Cadet Chapel, Trophy Point, Battle Monument, the monument to the Great Chain and Parade Field, the Old Cadet Chapel and West Point Cemetery. Before the tour begins, a buffet luncheon will be served at the famous Thayer Hotel.
