Great South Bay Audubon Society annual fundraiser to be held May 7

The Great South Bay Audubon Society will hold its annual fundraiser dinner Monday, May 7 at Captain Bill's Restaurant in Bay Shore. There will be door prizes, raffles and several auctions, some offering original art work.

The speaker will be Robert De Candido, PhD. who will present a lively and interesting program, The Night Migration of Birds at the Empire State Building, with photographs by Deborah Allen. The gala will start at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour to be followed by dinner and other activities at 7 p.m. This is a great chance to meet with other nature and conservation-minded people. The tickets are $40 per person. For information about purchasing tickets call 631-563-7716 or e-mail greatsouthbayaudubonsociety@verizon.net or visit the group's website at gsbas.com.
