Dear Deer Park
Speeches given were very heartwarming. Outgoing Lodge President Roy Perticone and Auxiliary President Mary Ann Perticone offered good wishes to the incoming officers and deepest thanks to all who made their terms special. Official pin exchanges were conducted by both. (Note was given to the varied husbands and wives who were either separate or together Presidents at the Lodge - Ted and Teena Speraa, Ann Marie and George Nappi, Arthur and Joanne Spera and Bill and current President Carmel Lamont.) Newly installed President Sonny Maraililano spoke of his involvement with the Lodge and of his loving family, whose who are not longer with us, and concluded with a special tribute to his adored wife Connie, the newly elected Orator of the Auxiliary. Newly installed Auxiliary President Carmel Lamont spoke of her involvement in the Auxiliary, her beloved family and wonder husband Bill, who is, as noted, a Past Brumidi President and recently elected State Trustee District 1. Both speeches focused on the involvement at the Lodge and the pledge to work to the best of their abilities at what is considered a "Premier Lodge." But the key to the speeches was that "Family" is so supremely important and matters utmost. Congratulations again to all involved for a beautiful occasion which was followed by a repast prepared under the direction of Chef Joe Commisso. Shown in the photo are Presidents Sonny Marigliano and Carmel with New York State President Carlo and his wife Madeline Martucci. +Anniversary wishes to Bob and Linda Pickwick who enjoyed their March 9 day with a special vacation in Vegas. Bob is quite an expert "Brewmaster" and DJ and Linda is a past president of the Deer Park Business and Professional women's Organization and the current District X director. Their adored Michelle and Michael helped make all very special. +March 14 was Shannon Elizabeth Elliott's day to shine for her eleventh birthday with tons of love and wishes from parents Donna and Billy and sister Megan plus the Elliott and Clark grandparents. Dad Billy celebrated his big day on the 16th. +Anniversary joy on March 16 for perennial Fire Department volunteer Glenn and his lovely wife Kristine von Kampen Ostermann as they marked 11 years of bliss with children Glenn Henry and Alexa Ray and their families. +Happy, happy birthday on March 17 to Christopher and Linda Mastrocco Boss' highly talented daughter Julia Ann, sister to James Peter. Julia Ann is a delightful young lady who has won many twirling awards with the Brumidi Sunshine Twirlers, who overall have excelled at various competitions around the country. +The Rendall family has two birthdays to enjoy this month with Dina and William's Samantha on St. Patrick's Day and Jessica on the 30th. Joining in the singing and cake are siblings Amanda, Billy and Ryan and local grandparents Ann and Al Rendall, two active community volunteers. St. Cyril's and Frank Gusmerotti's lovely Nora shines on the 18th for her day with children and grandchildren. This is another volunteering couple here in the community with tons of energy. +Past Grand Knight and Corporation President of Our Lady of the Rosary Council George Lundin's day to be toasted is the 20th of March by his active Past Columbiette President darling wife Mary and their family. +The ever-witty Richie and St. Cyril Rosary Society's Barbara Koferl Renz are enjoying 27 years of wedded bliss on March 22.
