Islip Town meeting held at West Islip school
Islip Town meetings are being held this year out of Town Hall. The schedule of various locations offers residents a more convenient opportunity to see how town business is conducted, while giving town officials a chance to visit new venues. The March 27th meeting was held in Beach Street Middle School in West Islip, where Student Council President and eighth grader Michelle Genovese was joined by Caitlin Hornik and Victoria Kavitt in the leading of the
Pledge of Allegiance. The National Anthem was sung by the school's Select Chorus, under the direction of music teacher Camille Persico. On hand to greet Town Supervisor Phil Nolan and Board members was Principal Anne Shierant.
