Language lessons at May Moore in Deer Park

Kindergarten, first and second graders at the May Moore Primary School in Deer Park were recently treated to a special "L.O.T.E. Lesson" given by students from three Deer Park High School L.O.T.E. (Languages Other Than English) classes. High School French, Spanish and Italian classes visited the children for a day of language exploration, teaching them colors, numbers, animals and body parts. They also sang some familiar songs in the various languages spoken.

Shown are children from the May Moore Primary School participating in a day of language instruction along with their visiting L.O.T.E. friends from Deer Park High School. The high schoolers made rounds among the children's classrooms, teaching them numbers, colors, body parts, animals and songs in Spanish, French and Italian.
