North Babylon Elementary Schools hit home run for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Five elementary schools in the North Babylon School District were recently honored by the Make-A-Wish Foundation for their outstanding fundraising efforts.

Back on May 5, 2006, more than 1,400 families from the North Babylon School District attended Family Day at Shea Stadium. A portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales for this Mets game was donated to the Make-A Wish Foundation. On February 1, 2007, the Make-A-Wish Foundation received a check for the North Babylon share of proceeds, which totaled $1363. To show their gratitude for this outstanding contribution, the Foundation awarded each elementary building principal with a certificate of appreciation.

The North Babylon Schools are proud to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The next Family Day at Shea is scheduled for Friday, May 11.
