William A. Rossitto, former resident of West Islip

A funeral mass for William A. Rossitto, of Moriches, formerly of West Islip, was held on Monday, March 12, 2007 at St. Joseph's R. C. Church, Babylon.

Mr. Rossitto died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 in Sarasota, Florida after a long illness. He was 71 years old. Born in Brooklyn, he grew up in Babylon and lived in West Islip for over 30 years. He enlisted in the USAF and was stationed in northern Canada where he met his wife, Arlene on a blind date.

After serving his country, he was employed as a salesman for GMAC. He was founder and president of Value-Wise Auto Lease and American Dream Realty in Hicksville, NY.

Mr. Rossitto enjoyed fast cars, boating, golf, skiing, music, dancing, travelling the world, and spending time with his wife, six children and 14 grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Arlene; their six devoted children Eileen Garone(Michael),Yvonne Kopp(Chris), Debra Rossitto, Julie Smith (Marty), William A. Rossitto, Jr.(Cindy) and Diane Sansom(Gregg), fourteen grandchildren, three brothers, Robert J. Rossitto, Roger F. Rossitto and Paul T. Rossitto, and a sister, Eve C. DiMaria.
