West Babylon School District's installs Smart Boards

West Babylon School District, is in the process of installing three additional SMART Boards at Tooker Avenue Elementary School. SMART Boards are i n t e r a c t i v e whiteboards that connect a computer to a projector. Currently, each school in

the district has at

least one SMART

Board installed for instructional use.

SMART Boards help students at the elementary level pick up basic computer skills, while at the high school level, students are using them for advanced projects and presentations. Classes rotate use in the rooms containing SMART Boards, however contingent upon budget approval the district ultimately hopes to integrate one at every grade level.

Shown in the photo is Lynn Gendron's second grade students at Tooker Avenue using their SMART Board.
