It happened in Babylon Dear Editor: It happened on Long Island in Babylon. My husband uses a rolling walker (with seat) so he can stroll and window shop, especially the book store (Ye Olde Book Store). One day, after the bookstore, we went to the bakery (Wilhelm's) and bought a cheese cake. John, my husband, said "Be sure to put it in the trunk." I opened the car door so he could get in from his walker and went around to the trunk. The next day the walker was missing from the car. Had it been stolen? Reviewing where we'd been, I called Anne at the book shop. She said no one turned it in but she looked outside. "Oh, yes, there's a red walker chained at the restaurant Emerson's three doors down." When we went to pick it up, the owner said he had seen it outside at closing time the night before and brought it in, and then put it out the next day, chained for safety until the owner came by. He would accepts nothing but a big thank you. People are thoughtful and kind. Joan Panzenbeck
