Jo Brogan: longtime W.I. High School cafeteria employee Longtime West Islip resident and school employee Josephine "Jo" Brogan died February 14, 2007. She was 77 years old and had lived on Udalia Road for 47 years. Mrs. Brogan had worked in the West Islip High School's cafeteria for 25 years until her retirement in the 1980s. She then worked as an airport screener at MacArthur Airport for about five years with her husband. According to her family, she was a past president of Senior Circle and Eucharistic Minister and proud member of the Rosary Christian Mothers and SAGE at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in West Islip. According to her family, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame for her many years of volunteer ser- vice in the kitchen at St. John the Baptist. Mrs. Brogan leaves behind her husband, Raymond; her son, Raymond Jr.; her sisters: Millie Camperlengo and Jill DeSale; her grandchildren: Shannon, Shaun, Katelyn and Jordan; many nieces and nephews; as well as other loved ones and friends. She reposed at the Frederick J. Chapey Funeral Home, West Islip, on February 16, 2007. A Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial was said February 17, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, West Islip followed by interment in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
