BSD to host first evening College Fair

Babylon High School will hold an evening College Fair at the school on April 25, 7 to 9 p.m. Suzanne Murphy, of the Guidance Department, reports that the fair will feature more than 60 college representatives, along with members of the Armed Forces. College booths will be set up with college admissions counselors, featuring such institutions as the University of Notre Dame, Washington and Less, St. Joseph's College, Barnard and Bennington. This first annual College Night will be open to 10th and 11th grade students and their parents, in addition to seniors.

College fairs are an excellent source of information and allow students to meet face to face with admissions counselorsto learn about the curriculum and career opportunities available at the schools. Materials will be available for families to take homefor further consideration. "What better way to begin your college search than to speak with an admissions rep," says Murphy. The fair will be held in the west gym.
