Leo Club to host senior citizen dinner

Come one, come all - Babylon senior citizens, that is - to the Babylon Junior- Senior High School Leo Club's Dinner and a Show on March 22nd, beginning at 4 p.m. The show, a dress rehearsal of Matchmaker by Thorton Wilder, begins at 5:30 p.m. in Rowe Hall. Babylon's senior citizens are invited free to an old- Hollywood themed-type supper, complete with black and white accessories and Frank Sinatra music, to tie in with an delicious Italian meal, reports Leo Club Advisor Melissa Llewellyn.

Drama Director Lisa Drance, Musical Director Brian Kroll, Set Director Linda Napolitano and Choreographers AnneMarie Martino and Colleen Winther promise a memorable rendition of The Matchmaker, a story about a merchant in Yonkers looking to take a wife. Being rich, he employs a matchmaker, a woman who subsequently becomes involved with two of his clerks and the headwaiter at an expensive restaurant.

Starring in the four-act play are Patrick Flanagan as Vandegelder, Anthony Sgueglia as Malachi, Alexander Leitch as Barnaby, Joseph Ruymen as Ambrose, Steven Ermert as the headwaiter, Mathew McLean as a waiter, Martin Castonguay as the cabman, Steven Ermert as Joe Scanlon, Christina Poio as Mrs.. Levi, Kristin Golder as Gertrude, Anna Domingo as the cook, Christine Hunter as Mrs. Molloy, Emily Halliday as Minnie, Julia Phillips as Flora Van Huysen and Jessica O'Brien as Ermengarde.

The Babylon Junior-Senior High School is located at 50 Railroad Avenue in Babylon Village. Reservations are not needed.
