United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 1-4 offers boating courses

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 1-4 will be offering two courses in March.

The Flotilla will present the America's Boating Course approved by the NASBLA and meeting all the current state and federal requirements for powerboat and jet ski operators in New York. The course will be offered in a one session, eight hour meeting at Islander Boat Center, 185 W. Montauk Hwy., Lindenhurst on Saturday, March 24, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fee is $50.

A Young Boaters Course will be given on Thursday, March 22 at the Lindenhurst Middle School, 300 South Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst, 7 p.m. and will run for four nights. This course will be for youthful operators aged 10 through 18. The fee is $25. Advance registration is not required. For further information call 631-691-4000, extension 15.
