BabylonVillage Arts Council

The winter season has hit the area with a brisk, cold wind rattling windows and keeping most Village residents indoors. The Babylon Village Arts Council , a not-for-profit organization, has scheduled several exciting events in the upcoming month of March to warm the artistic spirit of Babylon residents.

The Second Thursday Concert Series will present the Mark Marino Duo on March 8 at Astoria Federal Bank located at 180 Main St., Babylon at 7:30 p.m.. The program will feature Mark Marino on guitar and Bill McCrossen on bass. Marino has been playing jazz guitar professionally in the New York area. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited.

On Friday, March 23 Babylon Village Arts Council and the Babylon Village Historical Society will sponsor an art show exhibiting the works of Kathy Herzy, a local watercolorist. There will be a reception on March 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Historical Society Museum located on Main Street in Babylon Village. The show will continue through the weekend. Doors will open on March 24 and& 25 from noon to 4 p.m.
