Irish story teller to perform at Conklin House in Babylon Jim Hawkins, the Irish Story Teller, will perform at the Conklin House, Deer Park Venue, Babylon, Sunday, March 11, 3:30 to 5 p.m. Reservations are a must and you should call 631-669-8164. This will be a return engagement for Mr. Hawkins, who entertained last March at the Conklin House before an enthusiastic audience. Hawkins mixes stories with songs, often combining the two. His stories can be humorous or serious, with some drawn on his own memories and experiences, having grown up in County Westmeath, Ireland. He has performed at many libraries and art centers throughout the area, as well as acting in a number of Arena Players productions.
Hawkins is a former English teacher from Deer Park.
