Bay Shore physical education teacher presented with 2006 professional award

Suffolk Zone Award Winner Ted Nagengast, Bay Shore Middle School physical education teacher, was presented with the 2006 Professional of the Year Award by the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

This award is presented annually to an individual for contributions to students, school district and community.

Mr. Nagengast's stalwart dedication to total wellness has resulted in innovative health initiatives and a progressive curricu- lum and program development that benefit the entire school community.
