WBHS seniors get sound investment in financial literacy

Reciever of Taxes, they were asked to deduct each expense from their checkbook to ultimately see the value of a budget and the reality of cost of living. This interactive, hands on financial event, provides the opportunity to effectively educate students on the topic of personal finance. Further information is available at: www. mycreditspy.org. On February 13th, two business classes at West Babylon High School attended a Financial Education Program given by The Right Start Foundation. The program was offered by Giovana Ramirez and Connie LoCascio along with many community businesses.

The program is designed to simulate the experience of everyday living. The students were assigned an occupation, salary, marital status, and then were given a mock pay check and check register.
