Louis Caggioni: 43-year-old area carpenter

Former West Islip resident and professional carpenter Louis Anthony Caggioni died suddenly in Hilton Head, North Carolina on January 23, 2006. He was 43 years old and had moved from Long Island in 2000.

Born November 17, 1963 in West Islip, he lived on Sandra Avenue for about 25 years and was a longtime member of the New York Carpenters Union. He loved to play golf and fish.

According to his brother John, Mr. Caggioni, a "loving husband, son, brother uncle and friend" will best be remembered for his wide smile and joking sense of humor.

He leaves behind his wife, Becky; his father, Louis and and his wife Helene of West Islip; his 30 nieces and nephews; his siblings: John, Charles Lange and his wife Kym, Darlene Davolio, Danielle, Cathy Stumpf, Carol Altschuler, Helene, Christy Sowinski and her husband Gene, Charlene Forbes and her husband Kevin; as well as other loved ones and friends. He was predeceased by his niece, Frances Danielle Jedlicka, and his mother, Pamela Fink Caggioni.

Mr. Caggioni reposed at the Frederick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home on January 29, 2006. A Religious Service was held at the Funeral Home on January 30, 2006 followed by cremation with interment at the Breslau Cemetery, Lindenhurst.
