Frances Renault: homemaker, parishioner of St. Paul's

Former Copiague resident Frances H. Renault died December 22, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was 90 years old.

Born August 30, 1916 to John and Sarah (Coleman) Hawkins in West Blockton, Alabama, she later lived in Brooklyn. During the summer of 1950 she moved to Brookside Court in Copiague where she lived for 47 years before relocating to Florida in 1997.

Mrs. Renault worked at the former Fishbach's Youth Town in Lindenhurst and as a bridal consultant for H.E. Brown & Company in Garden City for more than 20 years.

She was a longtime parishioner of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Guild who loved to care for her beloved family.

She leaves behind her son and daughter-inlaw, Louis N. and Lorraine; her grandson, Christopher; as well as other loved ones. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon F.

The Reverend David W. Anglin, pastor, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiated at the funeral service on January 3, 2007 followed by interment in Pinelawn Memorial Park. Arrangements were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home, Inc. in Amityville.
