Katherine Maguire: 53, Bay Shore registered nurse Longtime Copiague resident and registered nurse, Katherine Ann Maguire died December 19, 2006. She was 53 years old. Born May 27, 1953 in the Bronx to Francis J. and Margaret M. (Deignan) Conway, she later worked as a registered nurse and Regional Director of Aides at Home in Bay Shore. She was involved with several professional nursing organizations and was a longtime parishioner at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church in Amityville. Mrs. Maguire leaves behind her husband of 19 years, John A. of Copiague; her parents: Peggy and Frank Conway of Woodside, New York; her siblings: Sister Peggy Conway, CSJ of Bayside, New York and Frank and his wife Kay Conway of New York, New York; her nieces: Meaghan Conway; her friends: Ginny Murtha and Rosemarie Farrell; as well as other loved ones. A prayer service was conducted December 21, 2006 at the Powell Funeral Home, Amityville. Monsignor John J. Bracken officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church assisted by the Consolation Ministry and members of the family followed by interment in Calverton National Cemetery.
