Safe Boating courses

The Great South Bay Power Squadron will offer the Adult Public Safe Boating Course and for 10 to 14 year old, the Boat Smart course this spring in the Islip Terrace and East Islip area.

The course will be held at the East Islip Middle School cafeterias on Redman Street, off of the Craig B. Gariepy Avenue (north of Sunrise Highway), Islip Terrace, beginning weekly, on Wednesday, February 28, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Preregistration for the first 60 students will be online at www.gsbps.org and link to GSB Public Course Schedule. In person registration will take place on the first night of the course, 6:30 to 7:30 on the first night of the course, Wednesday, February 28 in the East Islip Middle School cafeteria.

The Adult Safe Boating Course will meet on the following dates: February 28; March 7, 14, 21 and 28 and April 11 and 18. The young adult Boat Smart course will meet on the following dates: February 28; March 7, 14, 21 and 28.
