Lindenhurst Middle School celebrates children's book week

From November 13 to 19, students at Lindenhurst Middle School celebrated Children's Book Week, a national program dedicated to "encouraging the joys of reading." For the fifth year, middle school librarian Liz Wood hosted a week full of activities for students, including a book swap. Those students who participated in the book swap received a "Dewey Dollar" - they then turned in their Dewey Dollar for a special chance to win an autographed copy of And Nobody Got Hurt by Len Berman. The lucky winner of the Children's Book Week prize was sixth grader Christopher Obrock. Shown in the photo are Lindenhurst Middle School librarian Liz Wood and student Christopher Obrock during Children's Book Week.
