Islip Art Museum tour February15 and March 15

The Islip Art Museum presents Landescapism, an exhibition which features artists who have created alternative vistas and make-believe environments in order to explore our diminishing resources.

The exhibition will be on view in the Museum's main galleries at Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Ln., East Islip, from February 7 through march 25. A reception for artists will be held Sunday, February 11, 1 to 4 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.

Joe Wolin will curate the exhibition. Artists in the show include Karen Azoulay, Rowena Dring, Blaise Drummond, John Gerrard, Jude Miller, Adam Schecter, Dan Torop, Oliver Warden and Lauren Warner.

In addition to the reception the following related events have been scheduled: There will be a tour of the exhibition followed by an informal tea on Thursdays, February 15 and March 15, 3 p.m. There is a $5 reservation fee, which must be paid in advance. During the same period the works of Ethel Brown Camhi will be featured in the Museum Store.

The Museum galleries are open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. To contact the Museum call 631-224-5402.
