Artwork from Daniel Street students in Lindenhurst to be featured in book

Twenty students from Lindenhurst's Daniel Street Elementary School were selected to have their artwork displayed in Make it Pop!, a book written by Joyce Raimondo about pop art. Under the direction of Daniel Street art teacher Alisa Gilman, the students created pop art pieces in school last year. From french fries to milkshakes, the students masterfully brought food items to life through sculpture.

The students were invited to a book signing by Raimondo in East Hampton. The students honored were: Janet Schaeffer, Alexandra Cimieri, Allison Dwyer, Mathew Labianca, Matthew Pomara, Evelyn Lanza, Scotty Brown, Nicholas Torres, Michael Sanchez, Karol Wieczarek, Allison Perna, Megan Bielitz, Travis Van Holt, Ellen Molinari, Audrey Quinn, Danielle Vozzo, Rebecca Wright, Matthew Costa, Stephanie Ingenito, and Cathleen Carbone.
