West Babylon educators honored with garden party

Recently awarded at the New York State English Council Program Award of Excellence, three educators in the West Babylon School District were recently honored with a Hamptons-esque party for their unique professional development programs. Principal of South Bay Elementary School JoAnn Scott, teacher Lisa Granieri and Director of Language Arts and Testing Carol Varsalona were all honored by the Listserv/Collegial Circle for their work on hosting professional development workshops both in the district and at English Council Conferences. West Babylon administrators, staff developers, teachers and town officials all attended the event.The gathering served as a springboard to inspire and impact continued teaching and learning in the West Babylon educational community.
