Former West Babylon residents recognized

Former West Babylon Residents Irene and Walter Pasedag were recently recognized for their work with the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Irene (nee Dawerot) and Walter moved from West Babylon about five years ago and also lived for a while in Lindenhurst while in New York. They have also lived in Washington, D.C., and traveled and lived in Germany before settling in Pennsylvania about three years ago.

The couple volunteered to organize the church's 15th annual free community Christmas Day dinner.

Irene participated in the church's August Rotary Club Craft Show 20 years ago and according to the Lightweights Record Express where their story appeared recently, they liked the area so much they decided to move there.
