No. Babylon resident elected chair of International Board of Partners of the Americas

Patricia Hill Williams, of North Babylon, was elected chair of the international board of Partners of the Americas at the organization's annual convention held recently in Belize. Williams is a longstanding member of the Long Island St. Vincent partnership. This year, the Long Island Partners also added the Caribbean island of Grenada to its partnership.

Dr. Williams was until her recent retirement vice president for external affairs at Farmingdale State University, where she was responsible for institutional advancement in the areas of alumni affairs, the College Foundation, government relations and corporate fundraising. She was inducted into the SUNY Hall of Fame by her peers among institutional advancement officers. Dr . Williams has been a member of Partners of the Americas since 1980. She has served as president of the Long Island/St. Vincent Partners and is currently the Executive Director of the Long Island Chapter. She was awarded a Kellogg Foundation/Partners Fellowship in International Community Development from 1984 to 1986.
