Legislator Stern meets with “The Men's Club” of the Suffolk YJCC
Suffolk County Legislator Steve Stern (DHuntington) 16th LD and Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors committee recently met with The Men's Club of the Suffolk YJCC and hosted an open forum on the topic of economic development within the district. Legislator Stern discussed the Commack Road Corridor and the big box developments in Smithtown. He also spoke about the effect of overdevelopment on the local economy, as well as his proposed initiatives to preserve open space and ease traffic problems. Following his remarks, Legislator Stern took questions from the audience on a range of economic and development issues pertaining to the community.
