Lindenhurst students receive volunteerism awards

Several dozen Lindenhurst elementary and middle school students received v o l u n t e e r i s m awards recently in recognition of their outstanding community service. The President's volunteer Service Award and Volunteers for Babylon Award were presented to them by Assemblyman Bob Sweeney at a L i n d e n h u r s t Council of PTA's meeting. The award ceremony was coordinated by PTA representative Fran Cohen.

The students all completed at least 50 hours of community service within the past year. They are: Gold Award recipients Courtney Koehler, Elizabeth Mackey, Nicholas Smith and Hope Dunbar; Silver Award recipients Brittany Berrent, Justin Connor English, Kimberly Harrell, Mary Meloro and Zackary Harrell and Bronze Award recipients Alyssa Berent, Angela Angieri, Brett Keeler, Bryan Berrent, Dana Kennedy, Emily Koehler, Gus Sargentini, Kailee Puk, Kelly Errico, Kelly Weingaertner, Kyle Keeler, Michael Lettow, Rachel Moyer, Ronald Kennedy, Samantha Stettnisch, Sean Keicher, Stephanie Fodera, Sydne Spinella and Thomas Lucev.
