Police seek public's assistance in apprehending pickpocket

Crime Stoppers and the First Squad Detectives are asking the public's help to identify a man that managed to pickpocket a King Kullen customer's credit cards and later used them to make purchases. His image was captured entering and exiting the store.

On Friday, November 24, 2006, a male suspect repeatedly bumped into a female who was shopping at the King Kullen located at 1170 Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon. He managed to pickpocket her credit cards and then subsequently used them to make purchases.

The suspect is described as being a black male, about 35 years old, 6' tall, about 230 lbs., and wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.00 for information that leads to an arrest.
