Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America recently sponsored a clothing drive for Dress for Success at Ascension Lutheran Church in Deer Park. At this fourth semi-annual event, members of the women's group provided an opportunity for the whole congregation to bring good, new and gently used women's business clothing to the church for donation to Dress for Success.

Other projects of the Women of Ascension include delivering sandwiches, hardboiled eggs and new socks to the homeless in New York City several times a year, "baby showers" for young clients of Lutheran Social Services, welcome kits for families in area shelters and more.
