Former Babylon resident, Eve Cornwell Harrison, died on July 10, 2007 in Dosher Nursing Center in Southport, North Carolina. She was 89-years-old.

Born in Bellmore on June 28, 1918 to Elvin and Eva B. Cornwell, she dedicated her life to being a mother to both her own children and foster children. She was also a gifted doll maker.

Mrs. Harrison leaves behind her children: Judith "Judy" DeFrancis and her husband Dan of Oak Island, North Carolina, Lee H. and his wife Emily Beresoff of West Babylon, and David A. and his wife Lisa Beresoff of West Babylon. Her sister, Dorothy Hadler of Babylon and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive her.

Services will be held in Babylon at a later date. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Brunswick Funeral Service & Crematory in Shallotte, North Carolina.
