Lindenhurst Village Board passes resolutions

At a recent Lindenhurst Village Board meeting, the following resolutions were passed and announcements made:

+The board accepted the retirement letter from DPW employee Anthony Poldino;

+Lipsky Construction was awarded a bid for $4,425 for the installation of a new roof at the bathroom and storage building at Kienle Field. The company recently did similar work at the Rainbow Center, which the board was advised was completed satisfactorily.

+A request from JJB Bar Ltd., Montauk Highway, for outdoor seating was rejected;

+Residents on North Hamilton Avenue between Charles and Daniel streets were approved for a block party on July 21.

+The Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
