The West Islip Council of PTA (Parent Teacher Association) is sponsoring a Meet the Candidate Night, Tuesday, May 1, 7 p.m. at the Beach Street Middle School auditorium, 17 Beach St., West Islip. All residents are urged to attend.

Anyone wishing to submit questions to be asked of the candidates for the Board of Education may do so that evening. Index cards will be handed out and questions should be submitted anonymously. The criteria for the questions are as follows: most commonly asked inquiries and relevance to the topic of education and/or community. A brief questionnaire, completed by each participating candidate, will be handed out that evening. The dissemination of any other literature is strictly forbidden.
